Dutch womens hockey team wins EC final

The Dutch national women’s hockey team led by coach Max Caldas beat Germany 3-0 in the final of the European Championships in the German city of Mönchengladbach on Saturday.

Marilyn Agliotti scored the first goal from a penalty corner. Ellen Hoog scored a second goal only 15 minutes later. And Lidewij Welten scored the final goal only minutes before the final whistle.

This is the eighth European title for the Dutch women’s hockey team. Their male counterparts will also play Germany in the men’s final on Sunday.
