Dutch troops cooperate with ‘corrupt warlord’
Taliban militants in Afghanistan say they don't understand why Dutch troops in Uruzgan cooperate with warlord Matiullah Khan
URUZGAN - In an interview with Dutch reporter Peter ter Velde, they say Kahn, who is a police colonel and has a 1,000-strong militia, is known to have enriched himself with drug trafficking and corruption.
The Taliban also accuse him of imposing a reign of terror.
They say peace will only return to Afghanistan when the government and the foreign forces supporting it stop siding with warlords such as Khan and bring more prosperity to the country.
