Dutch storm-resistant umbrella wins US award

The Senz XL designed by Delft Technical University which can withstand anything up to Force 10 has won an important US award.

THE NETHERLANDS - A storm-resistant umbrella designed at the Delft Technical University in the Netherlands has won an important United States award.

The Senz XL received the Gold International Design Excellence Award in the category of "personal accessories".

The aerodynamic design turns the brolly into the wind. It can withstand anything up to Force 10. The device came on the market two years ago and has already won a number of other Dutch and international awards.
