AMSTERDAM — Dutch singles do not get much sex and they are not very happy about it, according to a survey.
The survey by online magazine MVlife found that 46 percent of the 1,000 respondents (male and female) rated their sex live as average, while just 18 percent of men and 15 percent of women said their sex life was good.
Some 44 percent of the single women said that they don't have a sex life, the same applying to 33 percent of men. Only 4 percent of men and 1 percent of women say they regularly have one-night stands.
The respondents were not only unhappy about their sex life; they were also dissatisfied over the images portrayed about singles in the media, news agency ANP reported.
Almost half of the women and 33 percent of men said there is too much attention placed on the combination of being single and having carefree and exciting sex lives.
