Dutch shooting - bodies removed

The bodies of the six people who were shot dead on Saturday by a gunman in a shopping centre in the Dutch town of Alphen aan de Rijn have been removed. The bodies were left in position overnight so that forensic investigations could take place.

The black Mercedes which belonged to the gunman has also been removed from the Ridderhof shopping centre’s car park where it had remained last night. Shortly after .

The note led police to suspect that explosives could have been planted in three other shopping centres. They were evacuated on Saturday afternoon, but have now been re-opened. Police have not said whether or not explosives were found on the premises.
