A Dutch cargo ship, the Schelde Trader owned by Reider Shipping, has got into problems in Tauranga harbour in New Zealand, according to local media.

The 130-metre vessel is reported to have hit rocks after its engines failed. It has hardly been damaged but is unable to move. The harbour authorities haven’t decided what should be done.

The eight-year-old ship had just refuelled and loaded up and was bound for Noumea in New Caledonia.
