Police in the central Dutch town of Driel said Wednesday they had uncovered a haul of 15,000 cannabis plants.

Officers made the discovery in greenhouses on Tuesday evening after an anonymous tip-off, said regional police spokesman Walter Van Der Meer.

The plants have an estimated street value of about one million euros ($1.4 million).

Four people were arrested, among them a 45-year-old woman and a man aged 48 from Driel, and a woman and man aged 38 and 42 respectively from The Hague.
