Dutch police seize 750kg corals

750kg of coral has been found in a raid in a company in Gelderland.

GELDERLAND - Police in the Dutch province of Gelderland seized 750 kilograms of coral in a raid in a company in the village of Spijk.

Gelderland's environmental detective team had been tipped off by the police investigating coral exports.

Trading in protected animal and plant species is banned under terms of an international treaty.

It is not known yet what the Dutch company intended to do with the corals.
