Dutch pension funds doing above average

31st July 2011, Comments 0 comments

Dutch pension funds last year yielded six percent, well above the average return of 3.8 percent obtained by pension funds across the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development, according to fresh OECD figures.

The pension funds with the best results were those in New Zealand and Chile, which saw yields of around 10 percent.

Dutch pension funds tend to invest a relatively small part of their capital in shares, and most of it in bonds, which are less risky as an investment.
