NIJMEGEN – About 50 Dutch travellers were stranded at the international airport in Tehran over the weekend.
Because of heavy snowfall in Iran their flight to Amsterdam on Sunday was cancelled. Travel agency Rosetta Reizen in Nijmegen announced this Monday.
After waiting in the airport since Sunday, Dutch spent Monday night at the homes of Dutch embassy workers because of the lack of facilities at the airport.
If all goes according to plan the travellers should leave for Schiphol on Tuesday.
