Dutch men's hockey team beat England

The Dutch men's hockey team have beat England 4-3 in the European Championships in Mönchengladbach, after beating France with an impressive 8-1 on Sunday.

As a result the Dutch are certain of a place in the semi finals. Man of the match was Billy Bakker who scored three times for Holland. Taeke Taekema scored once.

The match was a battle for victory in group B, as the group winner is likely to avoid playing Olympic Champion Germany in the semi final.

Holland still have to play Ireland in the last of the group matches.
