AMSTERDAM — A Dutch medical ship with 270 military crew departed for Liberia on Wednesday to assist UN soldiers on peacekeeping operations following parliamentary approval on Tuesday night.

The hr. ms. Rotterdam set sail late Wednesday morning and will serve as a transport and medical ship in Liberia. It will stay anchored off the West African nation for three months, an NOS news report said.
