Dutch markets drop once again

15 August 2007, AMSTERDAM (dpa) - The Amsterdam stock exchange AEX was slightly down on Wednesday, down to 505.01 points, or a drop of 0.67 per cent, by 11:33 am.

AMSTERDAM (dpa) - The Amsterdam stock exchange AEX was slightly down on Wednesday, down to 505.01 points, or a drop of 0.67 per cent, by 11:33 am.

The lowest point was reached at 9.07 am, when the index had dropped to 502.84 points.

Corporate Express led the list of funds losing out on Wednesday. The office supplier's shares dropped by 2.71 percent.

International distributor of electrical materials Hagemeyer lost 2.51 percent, while GPS company TomTom and digital chip producer ASML lost 2.21 and 2.14 percent, respectively.

There were slight gains for telecom company KPN (up 1.85 percent), food multinational Unilever (up 1.46), beer producer Heineken (0.43) and health food company Numico (up 0.28 percent).
