Dutch man's six month visitor ban
A resident of the Dutch village of Hellum may receive no visitors for the next six months.
29 November 2008
HELLUM - The decision was reached by the mayor of the village, after consultation with the man himself.
He had been receiving visits for some time from a group of young people who used drugs, vandalised property and played loud music.
This resulted in complaints from several other residents in the neighbourhood. The man himself was in no state to refuse the young people entry.
Local police will now keep his house under supervision to ensure that, except for family members and social workers, he receives no visits.
