Dutch hotels want guest black list

The Dutch Data Protection Agency CBP has given permission for hotels to compile a black list of guests who seriously misbehave, says the RTL news broadcaster.

Dutch hoteliers say they are losing patience with having to deal with customers who damage and steal property, are a nuisance to other guests and threaten or abuse staff. They argue that security cameras and personnel can no longer properly tackle the problem.

It is being suggested that people’s names, addresses and telephone numbers should be included on the black list. The problems caused and the date the trouble took place will also be included.
