Dutch have confidence in their queen

A survey by a Dutch current affairs programme among 2,600 people shows that 80 percent of those interviewed have confidence in Queen Beatrix.

AMSTERDAM -- The queen was awarded a 7.5 on a scale from one to ten.

And 80 percent believe that Crown Prince Willem Alexander is ready to ascend the throne, but a majority said there was no need for her to abdicate just yet.

Half of all respondents said Princess Maxima may call herself queen when Willem Alexander becomes king, but, according to a majority, only if she gave up Argentinian nationality.
