Three-quarters of all Dutch graduates from universities of applied sciences are able to find jobs within a month.

Ninety percent of them have a job within three months. The figures come from the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences’ annual survey published on Wednesday.

Almost 80 percent of all graduates, either with bachelor’s or master’s degrees, manage to land a job to match their education level and particular field within six months. Just one in twenty is still looking for work after 18 months.

Three-quarters of the applied sciences graduates say they are satisfied that their degree led them to suitable employment.

More than 18,000 graduates were surveyed 18 months after they entered they were awarded their degrees. Dutch higher education institutions are divided into two main types, more theoretically-oriented research universities WO, and universities of applied sciences HBO geared to vocational training.
