Vitesse beat NEC 0-1, their first away victory against them in 14 years, climbing to fourth spot. For NEC it meant their fifth defeat in a row.

Giorgi Chanturia scored on 34 minutes but was shown red on 57. Two NEC players were also sent off in the second half.

Feyenoord notched up an easy 4-0 win over VVV-Venlo, with John Guidetti converting two penalties. The other two goals were netted by Karim El Ahmadi and Ricky van Haaren. From 43 minutes onwards VVV-Venlo were down to ten men after Ahmed Musa had managed to rack up two yellow cards in a short space of time. For VVV-Venlo, who have yet to win a match this season, it was their fourth successive defeat.

Roda JC secured a well-deserved 4-1 victory over ADO Den Haag, who were down a man for more than 50 minutes after Gábor Horváth was shown red. ADO lost despite scoring the match’s first goal after a mere eight seconds. Roda’s Sanharib Malki produced the equalizer 15 minutes later, with Mitchell Donald, again Malki and Ruud Vormer netting the other three in the second half.
