Dutch football: NAC beat VVV Venlo 3-1

NAC have won a 3-1 home victory over VVV Venlo, moving up from 14th to 12th spot, while VVV stay stuck on second from the bottom.

The final score was reached just before half-time, with the first goal scored a mere four minutes into the match by NAC’s Eric Botteghin. The equaliser followed just a minute later, when goalie Jelle ten Rouwelaar hit the ball against Bryan Linssen, who was officially credited with the goal. From there on  NAC extended their lead after Donny Gorter converted a penalty and Ömer Bayram netted the third and final goal a few minutes before half-time. On 26 minutes, defender Ferry de Regt was shown a second yellow card, condemning VVV Venlo to play with one man less for the rest of the match. cl
