Dutch finance minister optimistic about Greek collateral

Finance Minister Jan Kees de Jager is optimistic that agreement will be reached about collateral for the emergency loans to Greece.

He made his statement in an interview with Dutch public radio just before he left for Berlin, where he will meet his German and Finnish colleagues.

Mr De Jager remarks were in reaction to EU President Herman van Rompuy, who said on Monday that an agreement about collateral was within reach. “That is very well possible,” said Mr De Jager. “We are making progress, some steps forward were taken.”
