Dutch extend deployment in NATOs Libya mission

The Netherlands will carry on as part of the NATO mission in Libya for the coming months, ministers have told parliament.

The Dutch forces deployed include about 170 service personnel, six F-16 fighter aircraft and a minesweeper. The Dutch have taken part in NATO’s military operations around Libya since March. Service personnel from the Netherlands are also working onboard AWAKS radar aircraft.
