Dutch expect their income to rise
The Dutch are more optimistic about the economy than most other Europeans. They expect their income to increase in the next 12 months. That’s according to research carried out by Eurobarometer in June and published on Monday. Only Swedes, Danes and Luxembourgers were more confident. Hungarians, Bulgarians, Romanians and Greeks were the most pessimistic.
The Dutch are also pretty happy with their healthcare, only surpassed by the Belgians. Romania, Greece and Bulgaria were again at the bottom end of the scale.
Europeans are generally more optimistic than they were a year ago, although they say everyday living is getting more expensive.
