Dutch economy grows 0.1% in second quarter
The Dutch economy expanded by 0.1 percent in the second quarter compared with the first three months of the year according to a preliminary estimate, the Dutch central statistics office said on Tuesday.
The economy grew by 1.5 percent in the second quarter compared to the same period in 2010.
Exports grew by 2.9 percent by volume, but this was still a drop from the first quarter.
Domestic consumption was stagnant, with a slight increase in consumption of durable goods counterbalanced by a drop in spending on food and entertainment.
