Dutch boat probably wont sail to Gaza

It’s looking increasingly doubtful that the Dutch-Italian ship, the Stefano Chiarini, part of the ‘Gaza flotilla’, will be able to leave Corfu in Greece in time to make the crossing to the Occupied Territories.

About nine vessels have gathered in Greek and Turkish ports in the hope of setting sail to Gaza, where they want to deliver humanitarian aid, breaking the blockade imposed by Israel. On Friday, the Greek government refused to allow the ships in its ports to set sail for Gaza.

The Dutch humanitarian activists involved in the flotilla say that, if it is still not clear by Tuesday whether permission to sail will be granted, they will have to abandon their operation for the time being.
