Dutch are among richest EU citizens
The Dutch are in the top three of richest EU nationalities.

LUXEMBOURG – The Dutch are in the top three of richest EU nationalities. The purchasing power of the Dutch is 31 percent higher than the EU average, European statistics bureau Eurostat reported on Monday.
The richest EU citizens are the Luxembourgers, the residents of the Grand Duchy enjoy a whopping 280 percent more purchasing power than average. The Irish come in second place with 44 percent more than the average.
The poorest are Bulgarians and Romanians. They have only 37 and 39 percent of the average EU purchasing power, respectively. Even poorer are EU candidate members Macedonia and Turkey. The average purchasing power in these countries is 28 and 31 percent of the EU average, respectively.
The poorest country in Europe in terms of purchasing power is Albania, where residents have only 21 percent of the EU average.
