Dutch- Somali terror suspects file extortion reports

Most of the twelve Somali men who were arrested on Christmas Eve on suspicion of involvement in terrorism want to file a report with the police because they have concrete evidence that an extortionist deliberately misinformed the Dutch national security service.

The alleged extortionist reportedly targets successful Somalians. One of the lawyers for the twelve men says that the extortionist threatened to tell various government services that the Somalians had ties to a terror organisation if they refused to pay. The lawyer said the report would be "supported by concrete information. My clients are hoping that the national security service and the police will thoroughly investigate their reports".
