Dutch Premier League football round-up

Dutch champions Ajax could only manage a 2-2 draw away against VVV Venlo on Sunday. The Amsterdam side seemed to be taking it easy and had to struggle in the end to come away with a draw, dropping points for the first time this season.

VVV got off to a good start in the game, with two goals from Ahmed Musa in the 47th and 60th minutes. Theo Janssen scored after 68 minutes, bringing Ajax back into the game. Almost immediately afterwards, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson put the equaliser in the net for the Amsterdam squad.

AZ won 4-0 at home against NEC Nijmegen. Feyenoord was held to a 1-1 draw away against Heracles in Almelo. ADO The Hague lost at home to PSV Eindhoven 3-0.
