Dutch December Stamp price rise
The cost of the Dutch December Stamp is to rise from 29 to 34 cents.
29 November 2008
THE NETHERLANDS – Postal company TNT says the increase is due to rising costs and a decrease in the amount of Christmas post.
The last increase was six years ago. TNT has promised that it will not make any further increases in the coming years.
The December Stamp is issued each year in December and can be used from the first of that month up to and including 4 January. It is intended specifically for post during the Christmas season.
Those with December Stamps from previous years will not be able to use them this Christmas. If they do, they must add an extra five cent stamp to make them valid.
