Police stopped a 95-year old car driver who appeared to be lost.

Leeuwarden - Police in the northern city of Leeuwarden on Friday stopped a 95-year old car driver who appeared to be lost.

The man had driven away from his home in Antwerpen, Belgium, to go and get some eggs, he told police.

He ended up 280 km north of his home, but did not cause any danger on the roads. Yet Leeuwarden police say they wonder why the man still has his driving license. He said it was not the first time he lost his way.

The driver's daughter will travel to Leeuwarden to fetch her father. Police have confiscated his license, just to be sure.
