Discovery of heaven voted best book

12 March 2007, AMSTERDAM – De ontdekking van de hemel (The discovery of heaven) from Harry Mulisch was chosen the Dutch language book of all time. Geert Mak announced this on the television programme "The evening of the book 2007" on Sunday evening.

AMSTERDAM – De ontdekking van de hemel (The discovery of heaven) from Harry Mulisch was chosen the Dutch language book of all time. Geert Mak announced this on the television programme "The evening of the book 2007" on Sunday evening.

Kader Abdolah's Het huis van de moskee (The house of the mosque) came in second place, followed by Max Havelaar from Multatuli.

The public was able to vote on the website www.hetbesteboek.nl since 8 January. A total of 15,000 people participated. The vote was organised by the NPS and the NRC Handelsblad.
