De Telegraaf breaks with Journalism Council
The Dutch daily newspaper De Telegraaf has broken with the Journalism Council, as it says the council is far too strict.
THE NETHERLANDS - Anyone with a compliant can contact the council, if the complaint is found to have good grounds, the newspaper, magazine or website has to publish a rectification.
De Telegraaf is not the first media organisation to boycott the Journalism Council.
Several other organisations refuse to recognise its authority.
