Daniel Abrams the pianist/composer made his mark on the Netherlands in 1954, after the then 23 year old preformed his outstanding debut in The Hague. Now after 50 years he returns to teach and perform in Utrecht.

Daniel Abrams the pianist/Composer made his mark on The Netherlands in 1954, after the then 23 year old preformed his outstanding debut in The Hague. Now after 50 years he returns to teach and perform in Utrecht.

After 50 years Daniel Abrams is returning to the Netherlands. He has been invited to teach master classes at the conservatory in Utrecht, and to perform a concert alongside Alan Weiss, a highly acclaimed pianist. Weiss settled in Belgium after winning a medal in the Queen Elizabeth of Belgium competition. The coming together of these two pianists promises to be an extraordinarily exiting and unforgettable experience.

Abrams won great acclaim for his concerts throughout Europe during the two years he spent in England on a Fulbright Grant in the mid-50’s. He remained in London for a third year to record all the Beethoven sonatas for Whitehall Records.
In l957 he returned to the States to make his New York debut, which was heralded as one of the musical highlights of the year.


A special kind of radiance that quite sets him apart wrote The New York Times and He must henceforth be included in lists of young pianists most likely to succeed.
He appeared on many major TV and radio shows, including The Today Show and The Mike Wallace Show, and was selected by Musical America as one of the most gifted and promising young musicians in America.

Whenever he performs, the audience knows that they are experiencing music at its deepest and most satisfying level.

The Utrecht concert is on Saturday afternoon April 25th, at 2:30 pm, at the Utrecht Music Conservatory, Fentener van Vlissingenzall Hall, There is no charge.
