Dairy famers lift their blockade of the Campina milk factory ahead of an order forcing the move.

HEILOO - Dairy farmers have lifted their blockade of the Campina milk factory in Heiloo north of Amsterdam ahead of an injunction forcing the move.

The factory had been blockaded since Saturday by dairy farmers angry at the price being offered for their milk. They claim the present figure fails to cover production costs.

Half a million litres of milk was trapped inside the factory awaiting transport and would have been unmarketable had the blockade continued. Campina says the blockade has already cost it EUR 200,000.
