Court rejects request to sack gay teacher
A Protestant primary school has been told it cannot sack one of its teachers simply because he divorced his wife and started living with a man.
The conservative Christian Dr. K. Schilder primary school in the town of Oegstgeest north of The Hague said the teacher's behaviour had made his departure inevitable. However, a Dutch court ruled the man's open homosexuality was not reason enough to cancel his labour contract.
