AMSTERDAM — One person was injured on Monday morning when a small corporate plane veered from the take-off runway at Rotterdam Airport.

The Metroliner turbo prop plane with 17 passengers on board ended up on its belly by the side of the runway.

A police spokesperson said the plane is operated by Dynamic Airlines and was to fly to Birmingham. It appears a fire started in one of the engines.

The crew was unhurt.
