Corbijn's film nominated for prize

27 September 2007, 'S GRAVELAND – The film Control directed by famous Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn has been nominated for the European Discovery 2007 award. Another three films are also in the competition. The 1,800 members of the European Film Academy will decide the winner, which will be announced on 1 December in Berlin.

'S GRAVELAND – The film Control directed by famous Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn has been nominated for the European Discovery 2007 award. Another three films are also in the competition. The 1,800 members of the European Film Academy will decide the winner, which will be announced on 1 December in Berlin.

The three films were chosen from among 63 debuts by new directors. Alongside Control, the other nominees are: The Band's Visit (Bikur Ha-Tizmoret) from Eran Kolirin (Israël), Counterparts (Gegenüber) from Jan Bonny (Duitsland) and A Man's Fear Of God (Takva) from Özer Kiziltan (Turkije/Duitsland).
