Coptic church in Amsterdam under surveillance
The Coptic church in Amsterdam is under visible surveillance on Thursday evening because of two church services scheduled to be held there.
The Amsterdam church is one of three Dutch Coptic churches on a list published by the al-Qaeda terror network. A dog unit from a private security firm will also be present. The street behind the church has been closed to cars. And police officers are standing by across from the church.
A member of the Coptic community said that many people had come to the church: "Many people have come, and you are not afraid if you are a believer. And we are used to it, because we are from Egypt."
