Colombia nabs alleged drug trafficker sought by Netherlands
The Colombian navy said Tuesday it has nabbed an alleged drug trafficker sought by the Netherlands.
Antonio Vallejo, who was captured in the northern city of Sincelejo, was sought on drug trafficking and weapons charges, the navy said in a statement.
He was being transferred to Bogota ahead of his expected extradition to the Netherlands.
Between January and September 2011, Colombian authorities arrested 190 people on suspicion of drug trafficking in order for them to be extradited, according to President Juan Manuel Santos' office
