The Dutch authorities have offered 10,000 euros for the tip which will lead to the arrest of the ‘car shooter’.

Since the beginning of this month, at least 27 car drivers on motorways around Rotterdam have come under fire from what the police suspect is someone using an airgun. No one has so far been injured as a result of the shootings, but several vehicles have been damaged.

Police believe the shots fired last weekend came from the side of the motorway. All previous incidents were thought to have been caused by someone firing on cars from another moving vehicle.

Tips The 12 officers investigating the case have so far received 60 tips, but these haven’t yet led to the discovery of the car shooter’s identity. It is hoped the offer of a reward will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
