AMSTERDAM – The Cultural Youth Passport Foundation (CJP) attracted more than 26,000 new members in 2007, bringing the total number of CJP members to 276,000, representing growth of 10 percent for last year.

More cultural institutions are granting a discount, and campaigns to attract more members and partnerships with sponsors both contributed to the growth as well.

The cultural passport grants young people aged 18 to 26 a discount on museums, theatre performances, and the cinema, but also on travel and clothing.

Most CJP members are secondary schools students following a Cultural Education course. They receive the cultural discount pass free of charge.
