ROTTERDAM – Police on Wednesday night arrested a 29-year-old Rotterdam man suspected of having killed his 35-year-old sister.
In the home on the De Jagerstraat in Rotterdam-West where the tragedy took place, police found both the critically injured woman and an 18-month-old boy with a broken arm. The woman died of her injuries after being brought to hospital.
A spokesperson for the police says a family meeting had taken place at the home. The motive for the stabbing is still not known. The police found the suspect at a hotel near the De Jagerstraat.
The night receptionist thought there was something strange about the man asking for a room and called the police. The spokesperson for the police said that the suspect does have a history of psychiatric problems.
