Boy killed in Amsterdam; six arrests
Amsterdam police have arrested six people who may have been involved in the killing of a 16-year-old on Thursday evening. The boy was shot early in the evening outside on a street near the city centre and died in hospital. He had a criminal record.
All six suspects are from Amsterdam and aged between 15 and 23. They are being interrogated to ascertain what their role in the shooting incident was. A police spokesperson said it is not clear whether the fatal shots were fired by one of the six. "We're not ruling anything out. You don't get shot as a 16-year old for no reason," the spokesperson said.
