Boom Chicago's political party continues!
Boom Chicago’s Political Party continues with Femke Halsema, Lijsttrekker of Groen Links on 3 May, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Verhagen of CDA on 10 May.
Greg Shapiro, Jon Rosenfeld and Maurice de Hond present Political Party. Each week, our three political junkies invite an Amsterdam or national politician for an interactive evening that is both funny and serious. The program blends comedy, improvisation, interviews and discussion. Each week the party closes with a themed opinion quiz administered by de Hond himself. This night is a must for anyone interested in current events, especially with the elections coming up in June.
Rosenfeld, Shapiro, de Hond and Moskos
Rosenfeld and Shapiro, with director Andrew Moskos, have created five hit political comedy shows: Nieuwjaarsconference (2001), Yankee Go Home: Americans and Why You Love to Hate Us (2002), Going Down: A Comedy Show about Pessimism (2003), Mr. America Contest: A Comedy Show about the U.S. Presidential Race (2004), and the very succesful Bye Bye Bush (2008).
Rosenfeld is Boom Chicago’s Artistic Director and was nominated for an Emmy Award for his current events writing for the American TV-series Saturday Night Live.
Shapiro has been part of the Boom Chicago cast for sixteen years and starred as the anchorman for CCN, Boom Chicago’s satirical news show on Comedy Central (NL) in 2007-8.
Moskos is co-founder and executive producer of Boom Chicago’s shows, TV and video. He was a former cast member and directs Boom Chicago’s political productions.
Maurice de Hond needs no introduction… Hij zegt doen.
