AMSTERDAM — The body of a two-year-old girl reported missing after an explosion and fire at an Abcoude farm was found early on Tuesday morning.
Tracker dogs found the girl's body under debris in the farmhouse at 2.15am on Tuesday. Her parents have been informed.
She had been missing since an explosion sparked a fire at the farmhouse on Monday morning.
Four other people were injured, two of whom were still in hospital on Monday night.
The explosion took place at about 7.30am outside the building near an adjacent horse stud shed. Fire subsequently took hold in the farmhouse.
Seventeen people lived in the farm building, which was sub-divided into four homes.
Abcoude Municipal Council suspects a leaking gas tank led to the explosion.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the tragedy on Tuesday.
