Blatter wants Cruijff on FIFA commission

FIFA Chairman Sepp Blatter feels Johan Cruijff is the perfect candidate for a commission which is to investigate accusations of corruption at the world football union.

The 75-year-old Swiss made his statement after a FIFA congress in Zürich which saw him re-elected for a fourth term. “Cruijff is an ideal person for that commission”, Blatter said.

It is not clear whether Blatter wants Cruijff to become a permanent member of the group of wise men or if he wants to retain the former Ajax player's  services as an external advisor.

Sepp Blatter hopes that appointing a commission of wise men will help restore confidence in FIFA. The powers of the organisation’s ethical commission will be expanded as well.
