'Blackbook' a hit in Argentina

13 September 2007 AMSTERDAM – The Dutch film Zwartboek (Blackbook) has secured a place in the top ten in its first week of release in Argentina. Paul Verhoeven's film was ahead of Hollywood productions like Evan Almighty and Rush Hour 3.

AMSTERDAM – The Dutch film Zwartboek (Blackbook) has secured a place in the top ten in its first week of release in Argentina.  Paul Verhoeven's film was ahead of Hollywood productions like Evan Almighty and Rush Hour 3.

Holland Film, the organisation that promotes Dutch film abroad, announced this on Thursday. The WWII drama starring Carice van Houten has made more than USD 22 million worldwide.

The production has already been released in a number of other countries, including the UK, US, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and South Africa.
