AMSTERDAM – A barber on the Albert Cuypstraat in Amsterdam stabbed a customer with his scissors for the second time in his career on Thursday. The police confirmed the report on Friday.

A man died in 2000 after the barber stabbed him with his scissors. On Thursday evening a 28-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed. He is no longer in danger for his life however.

A spokesperson said that the barber was not prosecuted for the incident seven years ago because he was acting in self defence. On Thursday he presumably stabbed the man in a heated argument over a pair of glasses.

Police found the seriously injured man outside the barbershop after a report of a stabbing. The victim told police he had been stabbed with scissors. He was brought to a hospital and operated upon immediately. The barber was still in the shop and has been arrested.
