Automotive deal to protect workers

Trade union FNV Bondgenoten has agreed measures with BOVAG, which represents the car branch, to protect both older and younger workers in the automotive sector.

THE NETHERLANDS - Employers will receive EUR 10,000  to keep older workers on the payroll. Older staff who are fired will receive EUR 5,000 in compensation.

Measures aimed at protecting younger workers include a scheme which ensures that they can finish their training.
