Attacks on gays lead to Dutch research
The new Dutch government has ordered the Netherlands Institute for Social Research SCP to launch a nationwide survey on the experiences of homosexual and bisexual people.
Ministers are eager to know just how accepted gays and bisexuals are within contemporary Dutch society. Over recent years, there have been a number of violent attacks against gays on Dutch streets, and the government wants to know if the policy on gay emancipation needs changing.
