ROTTERDAM – The police arrested four people on Monday morning on suspicion of involvement in a shooting in Katendrecht. The four people arrested are a 20-year-old Rotterdam man and three women aged 14, 25 and 31.

Two Rotterdam residents aged 31 and 33 were injured in the shooting incident on Sunday evening.

Police say the shooting was possibly an argument that got out of hand.

Sources say that one of the victims of the shooting is 31-year-old Gerald H. H. stood trial for the shooting of 13-year-old Sedar Soares in 2003.

He was initially sentenced to 15 years in prison but was acquitted in the appeal case for lack of evidence. The justice department appealed the ruling but the Supreme Court acquitted him definitively because H. reportedly did not deliver the fatal shot.

Sedar Soares was shot dead on 5 February 2003 while throwing snowballs in Rotterdam.
